Profile:Hajime Kinoko
Hajime Kinoko is a Japanese rope-artist whose main performance style is a juxtaposition of rope and light he calls “Cyber Rope.” In addition, Kinoko uses a variety of different ropes, strings, ribbons, and more to showcase the limitless beauty of lines in works of various media including performance art, photography, sculpture, interior decor, and installation art. In Japan, he is active in both the music and art scene performing at events like Fuji Rock Festival ’09 Presents All Night Fuji and Designtide Tokyo 2008. Hajime Kinoko has done rope-art performances world-wide including Torture Garden in England, and Boundcon in Germany. He has also taught the art and technique of human bondage through a number of popular lectures across Europe. In the Winter of 2009 Hajime Kinoko was both the main performer and the producer of the “Firefly” performance team at club Zepp Tokyo’s first event.
